Sourcing standards

The Arabic text on this site is the Uthmani script of the King Fahd Glorious Quran Complex (Madinah Mushaf), delivered through the open quran-api dataset. Translations are established, published works — each one is credited by name, language and source on the Translations page. Audio is streamed from EveryAyah.com, per-ayah recordings by named reciters. We do not substitute texts, silently edit translations, or mix editions.

Never AI-generated Quran text

Quranic Arabic and translations are never generated, paraphrased or “improved” by AI. They come from the verified sources above, and every character of the Arabic is reproduced exactly as received. AI is used only for ordinary site functions (such as interface text), never for sacred content.

Review process

Before any content update goes live, we verify it against its upstream source: verse counts per surah (6,236 total), spot checks of well-known ayahs in all six languages, working audio links per reciter, and correct juz boundaries. Data changes are versioned in our repository so any regression can be traced and reverted.

Corrections policy

If you report an error — a wrong character, a broken audio file, a misattributed translation — we check it against the upstream source. Confirmed errors are fixed in the next content update, and significant fixes are noted in an internal fix log. Because this content goes to readers worldwide, accuracy reports are always our highest priority.
